This regional community of practice is a collaborative network for individuals supporting youth in achieving career and college success across South Central Minnesota.

Our goal is to share best practices and strategies that help future talent—our youth—engage in career exploration, build skills, become workforce ready, and access post-secondary opportunities through strong regional collaboration.

Who Should Participate?

The Strategies for Building Tomorrow's Talent Today Community of Practice brings together professionals from across south central Minnesota who are committed to strengthening career-connected learning and workforce development. Participants represent a diverse network of organizations and roles, including workforce development coordinators, career and technical education (CTE) coordinators, career and college readiness leaders, talent development specialists, chambers of commerce, workforce development partners, economic development organizations, higher education, nonprofit organizations, and other community partners who are working to prepare students for success beyond high school.

Whether your work focuses on career exploration, employer engagement, work-based learning, talent development, or systems-level planning, this community provides an opportunity to learn alongside others who share a common goal of building stronger talent pipelines for our region.

A Collaborative Approach to Regional Impact

This Community of Practice is built on the belief that the best solutions emerge when organizations learn from one another rather than working in isolation. Meetings are intentionally designed to highlight innovative programs, emerging initiatives, promising practices, and statewide resources that participants can adapt within their own communities.

Rather than creating duplicate efforts, this group works to strengthen and support the outstanding work already happening throughout the region. Participants regularly share successes, lessons learned, tools, and resources that can be replicated or adapted, helping communities accelerate progress while maximizing existing investments and partnerships.
