St. Peter’s Bri Bergstrom Named MMEA 2026 High School Music Educator of the Year

South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) is proud to recognize Bri Bergstrom, St. Peter High School Choir Director and ACDA-MN member, for being named the 2026 High School Music Educator of the Year by the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA).

Bergstrom received the news this month, an honor that reflects her deep commitment to student growth, choral excellence, and building a vibrant, inclusive music community within St. Peter Schools.

As the high school’s choir director, Bergstrom has become known for her ability to inspire students through high expectations, meaningful relationships, and a learning environment where every singer’s voice matters. Her leadership has strengthened the district’s choral program and expanded opportunities for students to explore and excel in music.

MMEA representatives noted that Bergstrom stood out among nominees for her dedication to comprehensive music education and her clear impact on student achievement and well-being.

The High School Music Educator of the Year award celebrates educators who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to their school communities. Bergstrom’s nomination highlighted her artistic vision, the supportive culture she fosters in her ensembles, and her willingness to advocate for strong music programs statewide.
