SCSC Celebrates 2025–26 MESPA Schools of Excellence Award Winners
South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) is proud to celebrate three regional schools recognized as 2025–26 Minnesota Schools of Excellence by the Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association (MESPA):
- North Elementary – St. Peter Public Schools
- Northside Elementary – St. James Public Schools
- Washington Elementary – Mankato Area Public Schools
These schools are among a select group statewide to receive this prestigious honor, which recognizes exceptional leadership, a strong and supportive school culture, and ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
The MESPA School of Excellence program highlights schools that demonstrate high-quality instructional practices, collaborative leadership, and meaningful engagement with students, staff, and families. Schools selected for this honor are known for fostering environments where every child feels supported, challenged, and valued.
Selection as a School of Excellence reflects a rigorous self-assessment and improvement process aligned to MESPA’s national standards. It signifies that each school not only exemplifies excellence today but is continually working to strengthen student outcomes and school climate for the future.
As member districts of South Central Service Cooperative, the achievements of St. Peter Public Schools, St. James Public Schools, and Mankato Area Public Schools underscore the region’s shared commitment to innovative teaching, strong leadership, and student-centered learning.
SCSC congratulates North Elementary, Northside Elementary, and Washington Elementary—along with their principals, staff, students, and families—on this outstanding statewide recognition.
