Working with Newcomers Webinar

This will be a facilitated panel conversation with K-12 EL teachers, EL coordinators, counselors, and Directors of Teaching and Learning in Minnesota. They will be discussing the following topics:

• How do you welcome new-to-country students and families to your district?
• How do you provide access to the core curriculum and integrate students into mainstream classes? And provide pathways to graduation?
• How do you maintain a connection with families and monitor student engagement, achievement, and mental health?
• How do you collaborate with other educators (bilingual support staff, counselors, gen. Ed. teachers, administrators, etc.) to provide support for new-to-country students?

CEUs will be given in the area of EL - 1 hour
