MDE Levy Workshop

SCSC will host a regional Levy Workshop featuring Daley Lehmann from MDE. Daley regularly presents statewide levy training and school finance workshops and will provide a practical overview of the annual levy certification process, recent updates, and key considerations for Minnesota school districts.

This session is designed for Superintendents, Business Managers, Finance Directors, and other district leaders involved in school finance and levy planning.

Topics will include:

• Levy certification timelines and requirements
• Current legislative and regulatory updates
• Property valuation trends and their impact on district levies
• Levy calculations and reporting requirements
• State reporting systems and resources
• Common levy issues and questions affecting Minnesota school districts

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss district-specific concerns with MDE staff.
