Team Featured on KEYC's Kato Living

SCSC is excited to share that members of our team were recently featured on KEYC's "Kato Living" segment discussing the South Central Minnesota Induction and Mentoring Grant.

The segment features Jenny Wallskog from South Central Service Cooperative and Gina Anderson from Minnesota State University, Mankato, highlighting the collaborative efforts to retain and mentor new teachers throughout the region. Currently in year two of this three-year grant initiative, we're working with 17 school districts to create a comprehensive structure of support for new educators.

The program focuses on equipping experienced teachers with the tools and resources they need to effectively mentor newcomers to the profession. By fostering this supportive environment, we're addressing the critical issue of teacher retention—because when teachers feel supported, they're more likely to continue making a difference in education.
