Mankato East’s Heather Krause Named 2025 Minnesota High School Counselor of the Year
The Minnesota School Counselors Association (MSCA) has named Mankato East High School counselor Heather Krause as the 2025 Minnesota High School Counselor of the Year. Krause was recognized during the MSCA Annual Conference on October 27 for her commitment to supporting student success and well-being.
Krause was nominated by colleagues for her ongoing dedication to helping students navigate academic planning, career exploration, and personal growth. A statewide selection committee reviewed nominations and selected one counselor from each school level to receive this distinction.
“In Heather’s 23 years at East, her compassion and commitment to students has set her apart,” said Principal Akram Osman. “She builds meaningful relationships that help students feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving their goals.”
South Central Service Cooperative congratulates Heather Krause on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for her continued dedication to students across the region.
