City of New Richland Welcomes New City Administrator Tyler Lendt
The City of New Richland is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Lendt as its new City Administrator, concluding a rigorous selection process overseen by Mike Humpal, Manager of Local Government Solutions at the South Central Service Cooperative. Chosen from a pool of thirteen qualified applicants, Tyler was recognized for his extensive experience, strong leadership skills, and exceptional alignment with the values and goals of New Richland. After a series of interviews with four final candidates, the city council, and staff unanimously selected Tyler as the top candidate. He will officially begin his role on November 17th, 2025.
Tyler previously served as a Veterans Service Officer and Deputy Auditor Treasurer for Mower County, where he worked for over two years. His experience there has allowed him to build meaningful connections with both residents and veterans. He started a Continuous Process Improvement Team to revise the process for mailing address changes, as well as demonstrating how the model works.
In addition to his county experience, Tyler brings 2.5 years of private-sector expertise as a Project Manager for Pike Engineering where he developed a data management program to accurately track over 50,000 projects and oversaw a team of personnel tasked with providing accurate accounting of projects for clients. In his military role he served with distinction during one tour of duty to South Korea, and two deployments to Afghanistan.
Tyler holds a BA in Transportation Logistics Management and a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on organizational management.
The City Council looks forward to the experience, dedication, and collaborative spirit Tyler will bring to New Richland, guiding the city through future growth and community development.
