The state of Minnesota requires certain prescribed professional development courses be taken by licensed educators to gain re-licensure. Check the renewal notes on your existing Minnesota license to identify your specific renewal requirements. 

Use your existing login and password on the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) website to obtain information. Instructions and forms related to your renewal application will be available to you once you log in.

SCSC offers several opportunities and partnerships to satisfy re-licensure requirements.

SCSC offers the following sessions to licensed educators to help meet their re-licensure requirement:

  • PBIS
  • Reading preparation
  • Understanding the key warning signs of early-onset mental illness and suicide prevention
  • Reflective Statement 
  • English Language Learners (ELL)
  • Cultural Competency

A full-day workshop is offered at the SCSC Conference center twice a year or can be offered on-site for your school district. Participants can choose to attend one or all sessions.

The Online Professional Learning Center is a library of on demand, online learning courses delivered by on a variety of topics relevant to administrators and educators. Each program consists of six hours of professional learning divided into 90-minute modules. CEUs are available after completing the module and online assessments.
