Please join us for the 2022 Construct Tomorrow on November 16!
 
Construct Tomorrow is an interactive career fair that features each of the construction trades including bricklayers, carpenters, cement mason, electricians, floor coverers, iron workers, laborers, pipefitters, finishing trades, sheet metal workers and more.  The trade trainers provide hands-on experiences for students to learn about careers in the construction industry and union apprenticeship training programs.  The event is free and open to all high school students.   

 

When:
Wednesday, November 16, 2022 • 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
 
Where:
Grand Hall at the Mayo Clinic Healthy System Event Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Mankato 
 
Registration: 
Please register your school at: Construct Tomorrow Registration.  The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. but you will be signing up for a 75-minute time slot. Please register early as space is limited.  
 
Chaperones:
Schools are expected to bring their own chaperones.   Construct Tomorrow recommends 1 chaperone for every 25 students.  
 
Transportation Scholarships:
To request assistance with busing costs, please complete the Transportation Funding Request Form.  Limited resources may be available. 
 
Prepare Students:
There are several resources available to prepare students for the event including videos, a classroom activity and information on all the apprenticeship programs available.  See links below.

Trades After Hours
Our local labor union representatives will be hosting a “Trades After Hours” event following the Construct Tomorrow event from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  It is free and open to the public.  All ages are welcome.  Students, parents, job seekers and career changers are encouraged to attend to learn about union apprenticeship opportunities in the construction trades.
