New Faces at SCSC!

  • We are excited to introduce Christine Meeks, our new Youth Mental Health Navigator!  With bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Professional School Counseling from MSU, M, Christine has a strong educational background.  Over the past decade, Christine served as School Counselor for Waseca Jr/Sr High School; her experience and insight are valuable in her new position! 
  • Join us in giving a warm welcome to our new team member, Beth Winterfeldt!  As a Youth Mental Health Navigator, Beth brings a wealth of expertise from her background in social services.  Beth holds master’s degrees in Music and Social Work as well as a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Leadership.  Beth is a licensed social worker and recently served as the Programs and Advocacy Director at Partners for Housing. 
  • Welcome to the new member of the SCSC Advisory Team, Jeff Bertrang. As Educational Consultant, Jeff will focus his energies on collaborative services with local school districts.  His background as a teacher, principal, and superintendent, most recently with New Ulm Public Schools, as well as his education accolades, make him a great fit for this position!  Before retiring from the National Guard in 2012, Jeff earned the rank of Brigadier General and served our country for 29 years.
  • SCSC is excited to have Gwenn Wolters return to our team as a Career & Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator. Gwenn will work with South Central Minnesota school districts through Perkins and Future Ready grants that promote career exploration, staff development, and program growth in CTE. Prior to joining the team at SCSC, Gwenn worked with Mankato’s Strategic Partnership Center at MSU,M. 
  • Long time Audiologist for SCSC, Karen Johnson, will be returning this fall on a part-time, contracted basis to address student needs as the school year begins.
