DESCRIPTION

South Central Service Cooperative continues to partner with Ten Sigma, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educators with better and more useful tools to help them educate their students.

Ten Sigma's products and training are geared toward helping schools restructure the way they conduct the business of education. Some of their materials include:

		Rubrics and Rubric-making Software
		Course Standards
		Performance Assessments
		Tools for Teaching and Enforcing Positive Behavior

Ten Sigma's Life and Employability Series focuses on the skills that students need to be successful in the classroom and in the workplace. The manuals that comprise the series are: Computer and Internet Skills, Habits for Wellness, Workplace Skills and Attitudes, Responsibility, Basic Academic Skills, Interacting With Others and Planning For Success.

Secondary special education teachers may benefit from Ten Sigma's Targeting Transition program. This provides educators with tools to simplify management of the Transition process: a rubrics-driven curriculum, an easy-to-use software program, and activities which enhance the teaching of Transition skills.
