Competition is open to students in grades K–12, with USCF-rated and non-rated scholastic sections available for play. Individual awards include trophies for first, and medals for second and third place for each competition level.

This year SCSC hosted our first state-wide Minnesota State Chess Association sanctioned merit point tournament in June!  Watch our website for details on the 2009 state-wide tournament!    Read all about it and view pictures.

Our tournaments are designed for ALL students playing at all levels.  The atmosphere is friendly and we are committed to creating a fun and non-threatening environment.
