Ask the “Dumb Question!” Young Writer’s Kick-Off

Peter Bloedel challenged students to Ask the “Dumb Question!” in his keynote for the SCSC Young Writer’s Conference held at Bethany Lutheran College March 9th and 10th. Over 800 students listened while Peter challenged their creative thinking encouraging them to think inside, upside, outside, over, under, through, and around the box.

Students had the opportunity to attend three breakout sessions covering a wide range of writing topics: realistic fiction, folktale writing, time travel stories, cartooning, calligraphy and news broadcasts to mention a few.

“It was fun! I learned some new techniques to use in my future writing.”, and “I loved the creativity offered in each class,” were just some of the comments students shared after the conference.
