"Off with the old, on with the new!"

Many of us feel as though 2005 is just getting started—experiencing the beauty of spring in Minnesota and enjoying the warmer weather, while others are saying good-bye to the activities of the 2004–05 academic year and preparing for a new year.
2004–05 was an exciting year for academic challenges, programs and services. Many students had an opportunity to participate in events that provided them with new learning experiences. South Central Service Cooperative is preparing several new student events for 2005–06—one is focused on grades 10–12 — “Real World 101.” Watch for news on this and other student events in the Student Academic Outreach Program Handbook, published in August. Also, visit the SCSC website, www.mnscsc.org, and refer to Reach for the Stars, a catalog listing all statewide academic enrichment programs endorsed by the Minnesota Academic League Council, that will be distributed by the Center for Academic Excellence in September.

SCSC continues to provide seminars, workshops and training opportunities for professional growth and development throughout the summer. Please refer to the calendar in our newsletter or check the SCSC website, www.mnscsc.org, for a complete listing of events. We wish you a great summer—ENJOY!
