DESCRIPTION
The South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) Wellness and Health Promotion Program (Wellness Program) is designed as a tool by which to facilitate the improved overall physical, mental and social well being of all member participants. The overall goals of the program aim to foster:
Healthier/happier people with improved self-esteem.
Increased job performance.
Decreased numbers of individual sick days.
Lower health plan utilization rates.
The Wellness Program is a result of recommendations set forth by the SCSC Insurance Advisory Committee and approved by the Board of Directors to encourage the goals outlined above. Participation in the program is voluntary and the programs are coordinated at the individual participant sites. (A “participant” is defined as an entire employer group.)
Wellness Workshops
► Introduction to Seasons of Change®
Date: Feb. 22
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Location: Peaceful Landing, Henderson, MN
Fee: $55 (Lunch included)
Content: Sometimes change feels like choppy waters or even worse, a bumpy, bruising ride. Wouldn’t it be nice if it could be more like a peaceful landing as you navigate through transition? This course is for those going through transition personally or professionally and for leaders in the company of those experiencing change.
In this course, you’ll:
- Learn to navigate change with a resource that is universal--using nature as your guide.
- Be introduced to the Seasons of Change® Spiral, created by Carol McClelland, PhD., psychologist and author of Seasons of Change. You’ll also have a spiral to take with you for future use.
- Use two different assessments to identify changes in your life and key dimensions of transition.
We’ll have an interactive conversation about each season in the spiral. Come learn about the do’s and taboos in navigating life’s transitions that are based on the timeless wisdom and cycles of nature. Your instructor Michelle Burns, PCC is a certified Seasons of Change® Master Coach and a passionate ally with nature and sharing in the abundant wisdom therein.
► Seasons of Change® Getaway
Date: April 19
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chaska MN
Fee: $149 (Includes lunch)
Content: Imagine yourself in a beautiful setting where nature abounds, in the company of savvy, inspiring, like-minded souls, leaders who want to learn more about using the wisdom of nature to navigate change. This day is intended for you to relax and take a deeper dive into the Seasons of Change®Spiral. This course is for those going through transition personally or professionally and for leaders who are resources for those experiencing change. It is intended as a getaway just for you.
During this getaway you’ll:
- Learn to navigate change with a resource that is universal--using nature as your guide.
- Take a more in-depth look at each season in the Seasons of Change® Spiral, created by Carol McClelland, PhD., psychologist and author of Seasons of Change.
- Learn about the signs of each season, paths and road blocks in navigating change.
- Include individual reflection or journaling to explore and integrate the knowing of each season and what it means for you.
- Enjoy a relaxing stroll on the enchanting arboretum grounds to learn from nature first-hand.
