►Literacy Leadership Study for Administrators, Instructional Leaders and Coaches
This professional development is for administrators, instructional leaders and coaches with responsibility for the effective implementation of the Minnesota English Language Arts Common Core Standards. This offering lays out critical steps for ensuring classroom implementation of the standards reaches the intended level of depth and rigor. It will outline the key shifts from the current standards to the Common Core Standards, the classroom transformations the shifts require for effective teaching and learning, and the necessary work for bringing a school or district to exemplary implementation. This is a prelude to the three-part follow-up study for teachers (see below).

►Literacy Study for Teachers
This three-part evening professional development series is for teachers of all subject areas for the successful implementation of the Minnesota English Language Arts Common Core Standards in the classroom. This series is open to teachers of all disciplines as the new standards cross over all courses (language arts, social studies, science, technical writing, etc.). Please note that new information will be presented at each session but registration will allow teachers to choose one, two or all three sessions.
Date: March 22, April 18, May 3, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. (dinner included)
Location: South Central Service Cooperative, 2075 Lookout Drive, North Mankato
Cost: $40/person/session ($120 for all three sessions)
