DESCRIPTION
The National Engineers Week Future City™ Competition is a hands-on, real world learning experience for middle-schoolers designed to show them how engineers shape the world! For the first time, the program is open to sixth graders for 2011-2012. Students grades six through eight use their math, science, and problem-solving skills to create the world of tomorrow as they compete with other schools from around the country to see who can engineer the most innovative and inventive cities of the future.
Now in its 20th year, Future City is recognized by the education and engineering communities as one of the nation’s leading programs for enabling students to make the connection between math and science to engineering through its real world applications.
Online registration is now open for the 2010–2011 MN Future City Competition.
