DESCRIPTION

South Central Service Cooperative offers two regional scholastic chess tournaments annually in the fall and in the spring. These tournaments are one-day events to celebrate youth and chess. Competition is open to students in grades K–12. Individual awards include medals for first, second and third place in each competition level.

Spring Chess Tournament: March 24, 2012

Our tournaments are designed for ALL students playing at all levels. The atmosphere is friendly and we are committed to creating a fun and non-threatening environment. Check out the Fairmont Sentinel's coverage of the fall chess tournament.
