Gifted and Talented Education Symposium 2012
The Hormel Foundation has renewed support for the Gifted and Talented Education Symposium through 2014. Plan now to attend the 2012 symposium, June 10-14 in Austin. A dual-track pre-conference will be held the afternoon of June 10, and a full-day Administrator/Counselor day will be held on June 11. Registration Information.

Quality Literacy Education for Students with Special Needs – March 2, 2012

This is an opportunity for students with disabilities (grades 11-12) to showcase their job-seeking and job-keeping skills in four categories. Skills Competition categories include: Application writing, interviewing, problem solving and general knowledge. Details coming in Feburary.

Young Writers & Artists Conference - March 6-7, 2011
The 2012 Young Writers & Artists Conference (YWAC) will be held March 6 and 7 at Bethany Lutheran College. Students in grades 3-6 are invited to attend on March 6 and students in grades 3-9 on March 7. Visit the YWAC page or download a brochure for more information.

SCSC Work for Water Fine Arts Seminar & Contest – February 24, 2012
This FREE seminar invites students to spend an afternoon with nature artist Vera Ming Wong of Arakunem Arts, LLC.  Students will have the opportunity to learn from Ms. Wong and apply these techniques to artwork for the SCSC Work for Water Fine Arts Contest.
